This addictive dish consists of small rectangular rice flour cakes, fried with white radish, scrambled eggs, chopped spring onions and chye poh.
There are two ways to enjoy this popular local snack;
- the ‘white’ variant, with its slightly charred crusty exterior to be fried together with extra chilli, though optional
- ‘black’ version, which uses sweet black soy sauce
Chai Tow kueh has a scrumptious mix of smooth and crisp textures & salty-sweet & mellow flavours, which combines to give your tastebuds a delightful treat!
It is commonly eaten as breakfast or supper.
