The Singapore Zoo has the “open zoo” concept. The animals are kept in spacious, landscaped enclosures, separated from the visitors by dry or wet moats. Dangerous animals are housed in beautifully landscaped glass-fronted enclosures for safety reasons.
Some animals that you should never miss while visiting the Singapore Zoological Garden are the Orang Utans and White Tigers.
Orang Utans are arboreal mammals who spend most part of their lives eating, sleeping, nesting and travelling in the trees. They feed on fruits, leaves, seeds, bark and insects of the rainforest. they were also the first non-human ambessadors assigned by the Singapore Tourism Board.

The Bengal White Tigers are found exclusively within South Asia, notably in India. The majestic tigers are a symbol of strength and power to many but are also facing the problem of extinction.
